Highlander Hoeata to win 50th cap against Hurricanes

Hurricanes head coach Jamie Joseph has named Jarrad Hoeata to win his 50th Super Rugby cap against the Hurricanes in Wellington this weekend.

After a hard fought one.point victory over the Lions at Forsyth Barr Stadium last week the team will be looking to secure a vital away win against the Hurricanes.

Chris King’s one week suspension sees Kane Hames move back into the starting line.up.

Aki Seiuli will warm the bench after being called up from club rugby as prop cover with both King and Brayden Mitchell unavailable.

Hoeata returns to the team in what will be his 50th Super Rugby game after debuting in 2010 for the Chiefs against the Lions.

Hayden Parker makes his second start at first.five with Lima Sopoaga still recovering from a high ankle sprain received in South Africa against the Stormers.

Sopoaga is expected to be available for what is shaping up to be the biggest home game of the year, Highlanders v Crusaders at Forsyth Barr on Saturday 24th May.
