Bulls beat Stormers in Pretoria

Out of the last five Super Rugby matches between the Bulls and the Stormers the Stormers have won three and the Bulls two.

We are waiting for the kick off.

Kurt Coleman of the Stormers kicks off and we are underway.

1.00: Victor Matfield knocks the ball on and the ball is then kicked out after the kick off.

2.00: The Stormers win the line out and kick upfield. The Bulls win their line out and kick high. Cheslin Kolbie goes for the ball and takes it into touch.

4.00: The Bulls win the scrum and run the ball upfield. The Stormers however take the ball out after the Bulls chip ahead. Bulls line out.

7.00: The Stormers are defending the Bulls attacks and keeping the Bulls in their half.

9.00: Ndungane has a break which gets the Bulls into the Stormers half. The Stormers however turn the ball over and they get the ball wide to Kolbe, who passes to Juan de Jongh who beats one and passes to Kurt Coleman who runs in the first TRY untouched.

11.00: Coleman takes the conversion and nails it.

13.00: There is a break in play for an injury. The game resumes.

15.00: Craig Joubert has a talk to Schalk Burger as the Stormers are infringing too much.

18.00: The Stormers get the ball and attack down the wing. Juan de Jongh beats four defenders and scores in the corner. TRY!

19.00: Coleman takes the conversion kick from the touchline but misses. 

23.00: The Bulls win a penalty so Handre Pollard takes the kick and nails it. The Bulls are on the board.

25.00: The Bulls get the ball into the Stormers half, they have the penalty advantage so Pollard goes for a drop goal and nails it.

29.00: The Bulls win a penalty from a scrum on the half way line. Pollard takes the kick and nails it. The Bulls are edging their way back into this.

32.00: Francois Hougaard kicks the ball upfield and sets up a line out in the Stormers 22.

34.00: The Bulls chip the ball ahead and Bjorn Basson chases it – he gets to the ball but loses it in front of the posts.

36.00; The Bulls are on the attack but Juan de Jongh gets a hand to it as they pass the ball wide. We go upstairs to check if it was deliberate. It is ruled a knock on by the Stormers. 5m scrum for the Bulls.

38.00: Penalty to the Bulls. Pollard takes the kick and nails it to level the scores.

40.00: The siren sounds but the Stormers keep the ball alive and look dangerous again. However the Bulls manage to stop the attack and the whistle goes for half time.

The Bulls kick off and the second half is underway.

41.00: The Stormers win the first line out of the second half on the Bulls throw. The Stormers do however then concede a penalty. Pollard will kick.

42.00:Pollard slots the penalty and the Bulls lead for the first time.

46.00: The Stormers win a line out and kick for touch to relieve pressure in their 22.

47.00: The Stormers steal the ball after a line out and attack down the wing. They win a penalty and Coleman kicks for touch.

49.00: The Bulls try to attack but they lose the ball forward in the tackle.

53.00: The Bulls win a penalty for not releasing. Pollard takes the shot and nails it. The stormers haven’t scored for half an hour.

55.00: Scarra Ntubeni comes off injured.

56.00: Penalty against Kurt Coleman for tackling Visser in the air. Pollard kicks for touch.

58.00: Schalk Burger comes off and Siya Kolisi comes off. The Bulls move the ball wide and Basson and Visser surge the side forward. The support comes and knocks the ball on.
