Bulls beat Cheetahs in Pretoria

Out of the last five matches between the Bulls and the Cheetahs the Pretoria based Bulls have won four matches and the Cheetahs have won one.

1.00: The Cheetahs win a line out on the Bulls throw. They attack the Bulls in their half but they get pushed out.

3.00: The Stormers are playing at a frenetic pace but the Bulls are holding them for now.

8.00: Penalty to the Cheetahs. Watts takes the shot and he too nails it.

11.00: Willie le Roux makes a break chasing the ball down the wing which excites the crowd but the ball goes out.

12.00: The Bulls attack from close range and Callie Visagie goes over to score a phantom try as the whistle goes for a forward pass.

17.00: The Bulls are attacking in the Cheetahs 22, Johann Sadie gets an intercept pass and is chased to the line by Bjorn Basson but Sadie scores under the posts. TRY!

18.00: Watts adds the conversion.

20.00: Sarel Pretorius kicks for the corner and sets up a line out on the Bulls 5m line.

21.00: Penalty to the Cheetahs. Handre Pollard is yellow carded for synical play.

22.00: Watts slots the penalty.

25.00: Another penalty from the scrum is awarded to the Cheetahs. Willie le Roux lines up, takes the kick but misses.

26.00: After the restart Willie le Roux races around Jacques du Plessis but steps on the line and is in touch. The Bulls win the line out and attack. They make some ground and then the Cheetahs go off their feet so the Bulls have a penalty.

27.00: Visser slots the penalty for the Bulls.

30.00: Ryno Benjamin breaks through the Bulls defence and reaches for the line as he stumbles but loses the ball.

33.00: Jean Cook comes off for the Cheetahs. The Bulls win a scrum and power over the line – Marcel van der Merwe looks to have scored but we go to the TMO to check. No try as it was accidental offside/obstruction by Victor Matfield. 5m scrum.
