This weekend the match will be played in Christchurch which is home for the
Crusaders and the venue where the teams have played 8 times.

In those 8 matches the Crusaders have won 6 times and lost twice. That gives
the Crusaders a record of winning 75% of their matches against the Brumbies

The Crusaders have actually had home advantage over the Brumbies on 10 occasions
as they moved a match to Timaru and one to Nelson. Both of those matches were

The average score when the Crusaders play the Brumbies in Christchurch is :
Crusaders 30 Brumbies 18.

The Crusaders have played eight matches so far in 2014 and just three of those
have been played at home. In those three matches they have won one and lost
two. The one win they did achieve was against the Stormers who are now the bottom
team in Super Rugby.

The Crusaders two losses were to the Hurricanes and the Chiefs. This weekend’s
match will be the Crusaders first match in 2014 against Australian opposition
at home. Away from home they beat the Rebels in Melbourne which is the only
Australian team they have played to date.

The Brumbies have played four matches away from home this year and they have
won 3 and lost one giving them a record of winning 75% of their away matches.
They have even beaten a New Zealand team away from home as they beat the Hurricanes
29-21 in the fourth round.

Both the Crusaders and the Brumbies have won their last three matches. Ironically
the last team both teams played was the Chiefs (the Crusaders had a bye last
week while the Brumbies play the Chiefs) and both teams beat the Chiefs.

In terms of selection the Crusaders will be without Kieran Read but they will
have Richie McCaw. They have made five changes to the side that played against
the Chiefs.

The Brumbies have retained the side that played against the Chiefs in Canberra
last week.

Predicting the outcome of this match is difficult as the Crusaders were the
first team to cross the Indian Ocean and win and they did it twice. They returned
home from South Africa and in that week they beat the Chiefs in Hamilton which
is no easy task. They have however had a bye since then and many teams have
suffered a loss in form after a bye.

The Bookies
have given the Brumbies a 5 point start for this Match
– with
an offer of a FREE $250.00 Bet.
It would be no
big surprise if the Brumbies edged this but with home town wins being so common
in 2014 we are going to back the Crusaders. The Crusaders should
edge this by 3.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in
the UK On Demand in Sky Sports section (not live).
