Highlanders suffer double blow for Stormers

The Highlanders have suffered a double injury blow ahead of their Super Rugby match against the Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday as Patrick Osborne and Craig Millar have returned from South Africa.

Osborne played in the Highlanders 18-34 victory over the Sharks in Durban on Saturday but aggravated the high ankle injury received against the Blues in round 2.

Millar was a replacement against the Sharks and suffered a shoulder injury so he has been ruled out for this week. Matias Diaz has been sent to South Africa as front row cover.

Meanwhile Chris King will play his 100th Super Rugby game for the Highlanders this weekend in Cape Town.

After reaching the impressive milestone of 100 Super Rugby games in the 2013 season King now cements himself in the Highlanders history books notching up a century for the franchise.

A stalwart of rugby south of the Waitaki King had his Highlanders debut in 2005 after playing for the Crusaders for 2003 and 2004. Always strong on defense, ‘Mule’ as he is affectingly known, is an absolute work horse.
