Saracens reveal no serious injury for Owen Farrell

Aviva Premiership leaders Saracens have moved to calm fears over Owen Farrell’s injury concerns after he was forced from the field against Northampton.

There were concerns that England flyhalf Farrell could be ruled out for some time after he was relieved of kicking duties by Argentina’s Marcelo Bosch in Sunday’s Premiership match.

Farrell did not play in the second half against Saints due to a foot problem but Saracens have revealed that subsequent tests have revealed no cause for concern.

“Owen Farrell will resume training towards the end of this week,” Saracens said on their site.

“The Saracens and England fly-half sustained a foot injury during the match against Northampton Saints on Sunday, but scans have indicated no serious damage.”
