Cheetahs v Crusaders Super Rugby Preview

Out of the last five Super Rugby matches between the Cheetahs and the Crusaders
the men from Christchurch in New Zealand the Crusaders have won three and lost
two.

The Cheetahs have played the Crusaders 7 times since they joined Super Rugby
through the Super 14 in 2006 and they have won two matches and lost five matches.

That gives the Cheetahs a record of winning 29% of their matches against the
seven time Super Rugby champions the Crusaders.

The average score when the Cheetahs play the Crusaders across all venues is
: Cheetahs 19 Crusaders 38.

The match this weekend will be played in Bloemfontein which is home for the
Cheetahs and the city in which the teams have met three times before.

In those three matches the Cheetahs have won two and lost one match. This gives
the Cheetahs a record of winning 67% of their home matches against the Crusaders.

The average score when the Cheetahs play the Crusaders in Bloemfontein is :
Cheetahs 27 Crusaders 27.

Interestingly the Cheetahs have won the last two matches in Bloemfontein (in
2011 and 2009) so the Crusaders have not won in Bloemfontein since 2007.

The Crusaders have made one change to the team that comfortably beat the Lions
7-28 last week and brought back captain Kieran Read so they will be a stronger
team this week.

The Cheetahs on the other hand have named an unchanged team to play this week.
Last week they drew 43 all with the Chiefs but were outplayed in the second
half.

The Cheetahs usually take a big step up for home matches against the big teams
and it will be interesting to see how much they will step up this week as the
Crusaders have not been performing like a big team this season. Their confidence
will also surely have taken a knock given the way they let it slip in the second
half last week.

The Crusaders always start slowly but this year they have been struggling.
Their performance last week was a big improvement and they have targeted another
victory this week as they set themselves the goal of going unbeaten in South
Africa.

Neither of these teams have performed as well as they did last year but the
Crusaders have shown slightly better form and have played six and lost three.
The Cheetahs have played seven, won one, drawn one and lost five. The Cheetahs
best performance of the season was in the first half last week but going on
how they have played so far there is little to suggest they can do it again
this week and for 80 minutes.

The Bookies
have given the Cheetahs a 3 point start for this Match
– with
an offer of a FREE $250.00 Bet.
The
Crusaders should win this by five.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in
the UK on Sky Sports 2/HD.
