Brumbies beat Blues in Canberra

Out of the last five Super Rugby matches between the Brumbies and the Blues the Brumbies have won three times and lost twice.

We are waiting for the kick off.

The Blues kick off and we are underway.

3.00: The Blues start well and dominate early possession. They get the ball in the Brumbies half and go through the phases. It is a little slow and is lost forward so the Brumbies get the put in.

4.00: The Brumbies win a penalty from the scrum so they kick for touch.

5.00: The Brumbies win the line out but the Blues are caught offside at the ruck so Nic White kicks upfield for a line out and gets the Brumbies into Blue territory for the first time.

6.00: the Brumbies go through the phases inside the Blues 22 after the line out, Pat McCabe busts through a soft tackle and dives over the line to score. TRY!

7.00: Nic White adds the conversion.

9.00: The Brumbies concede a penalty after the restart just inside their 22. Simon Hickey takes the penalty kick and slots it. The Blues are on the board.

11.00: The Brumbies get the ball on attack in the Blues half, matt Toomua kicks for the corner and Joe Tomane chases but the ball goes into touch. We do however go back for a penalty.

12.00:White takes the shot and nails it.

14.00: The Blues win a penalty back so Hickey takes the shot from well out. He has the direction but it was short.

17.00: The Brumbies have the ball on attack and Jesse Mogg chips to the corner. He finds touch so the Blues have a line out which they win. However pressure from the Brumbies forces Hickey back and he has to kick the ball out from behind the dead ball line which gives the Brumbies a 5m scrum.

19.00: The Blues  front row collapses in the scrum so the Brumbies win a penalty.

20.00: Nic White takes the penalty kick and slots it.

25.00: Joe Tomane comes back on from having some stitches to his leg after coming into contact with an electronic advertising board. Steven Luatua goes off to get some stitches.

29.00: Penalty to the Brumbies as the Blues front row angles in. Mogg kicks for touch.

31.00: The Brumbies win another penalty as the Blues are offside. Nic White takes the kick but he misses. The score remains 13-3.

33.00: The Brumbies are playing a good territorial game by pinning the Blues back in their half with big kicks from Jesse Mogg. Hickey makes a mark and it goes to Mogg who kicks for touch but it goes too deep.

37.00: The Brumbies knock the ball on in their half so the Blues get some territory and a scrum in the Brumbies field. They are however pushed into touch when they attack down the blindside.

38.00: The Blues get their best break after the Brumbies spill the ball and Tevita Li breaks down the wing. The Brumbies however win a penalty for entering from the side at the breakdown so they kick for touch.

40.00: As the siren sounds Tomane goes over the top at a ruck and concede  a penalty. Simon Hickey takes the penalty kick for posts and nails it.

It is half time.

The half time score was Brumbies 13 Blues 6

40.01; The Brumbies kick off and we are underway for the second half. The Brumbies have made a change for the second half as Matt Toomua is off and Christian Lealiifano is on.

42.00: Penalty to the Blues. They take the quick tap and run at the Brumbies. They make some ground and then when they get into the Brumbies 22 they win another penalty for killing the ball.

43.00: Simon Hickey takes the penalty kick and slots it.

47.00: The Brumbies work the ball into the Blues 22. The Blues knock on so the Brumbies have a scrum.

48.00: The Blues scrum steam rollers the Brumbies scrum and they kick for touch.

51.00: The Brumbies go through the phases on attack sucking in the Blues defender
