Muliaina on the wing for Chiefs against the Force

The Chiefs have named Mils Muliaina on the wing for this week’s Super Rugby match against the Western Force at nib Stadium in Perth on Saturday, in the first match of their overseas tour.

In the forwards Mike Fitzgerald starts at lock and Sam Cane will have his first start of the official Super Rugby season having returned back from injury.

In the backs, Asaeli Tikoirotuma reclaims the number 11 jersey with Tim Nanai-Williams joining the newly capped Tom Marshall in the midfield and All Blacks centurion Mils Muliaina takes his place on the other wing.

Kane Thompson, Tanerau Latimer, Augustine Pulu and Andrew Horrell are all added to the reserve bench alongside eighteen year-old Anton Lienert-Brown who will become the eighth player to make his Super Rugby debut for the Chiefs this season.

Chiefs Coach Dave Rennie said, “We encounter a Western Force team that is in a confident mood and a team we have struggled to put away in the past so it is a challenge the boys are looking forward to.”
