Lions make one injury enforced change for Reds

Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has made one injury enforced change to the team that beat the Blues for this week’s Super Rugby match against the Reds.

Ackermann has opted for consistency, making just one change to his starting XV for the clash at at Ellis Park on Saturday.

In the forwards, Willie Wepener will start in place of the injured Robbie Coetzee.

Meanwhile, on the replacements bench, Mark Pretorius comes up into the squad after performing well in the junior ranks and will provide cover at hooker.

Another promising junior figure, Stephan de Wit, will also look to earn his first Vodacom Super Rugby cap off the wood. This after Warwick Tecklenburg failed a concussion test this week.

Additionally, utility back Lionel Mapoe has recovered from his hamstring strain and will also provide cover on the bench.
