Blues lose lock Tuipulotu for two weeks

The Blues have lost Patrick Tuipulotu for their sixth and seventh round Super Rugby matches against the Cheetahs and Highlanders.

Tuipulotu suffered a knee injury playing against the Lions in Johannesburg and will have an X-ray / MRI scan on return to Auckland however he is expected to miss at least two weeks.

Tevita Li suffered a hand injury in the game against the Bulls last week and will have an X-ray on return to Auckland as it has been slow to settle down.

Charlie Faumuina had some lumbar back pain on Sunday after the match against the Lions and the injury will be reassessed post-travel.

Jerome Kaino, Ma’a Nonu, Jamison Gibson-Park, Baden Kerr and Hayden Triggs are all anticipated to be fit for Saturday’s game against the Cheetahs.
