Hurricanes beat Cheetahs in Wellington

Both the Hurricanes and the Cheetahs lost their respective Super Rugby matches last week so both teams will be coming off a loss and looking to end a losing streak.

We are waiting for the kick off.

The Cheetahs kick off and we are underway.

1.00: The Cheetahs win the first line out but they lose the ball so the Hurricanes kick and chase it but it gets dotted down by the Cheetahs behind the tryline.

2.00: The Hurricanes get the ball from the drop out but the Cheetahs soon turn the ball over and get the ball into the Hurricanes 22.

3.00:The Hurricanes turn the ball over and kick it out.

4.00: The Cheetahs win the line out and put the Hurricanes under some pressure with a drive in the Canes 22 but the home side turn the ball over and kick it out again.

5.00: The Cheetahs look like they are about to break through but Raymond Rhule chips the ball ahead and it goes straight to Beauden Barrett who works the ball into the Cheetahs 22 and after a couple of phases the Hurricanes stretch the Cheetahs defence and Dane Coles scores. TRY!

7.00: Beauden Barrett slots the conversion and the Hurricanes lead after the Cheetahs have done most of the attacking.

9.00: The Cheetahs hit straight back as Johann Sadie slips through the Canes defence and passes to Willie le Roux who scores under the posts. TRY!

10.00: Johan Goosen slots the conversion.

11.00: Penalty for not releasing to the Cheetahs. Goosen will kick for posts.

12.00: Goosen slots the penalty and the Cheetahs lead.

14.00: Another penalty to the Cheetahs and after a chat with each other the Cheetahs go for the line out. The Hurricanes contest the line out and the Cheetahs are unable to do anything with the ball.

16.00; Another penalty to the Cheetahs. This one they will kick for posts. Goosen nails it to extend the lead.

18.00: The Hurricanes get through the Cheetahs defence and Julian Savea has a powerful run across the Cheetahs 22 but the Cheetahs defend and turn the ball over.

19.00: As the Cheetahs counter attack they chip ahead and Beauden Barrett gets the ball and chips through and chases. He gathers the ball and scores. TRY!

20.00: Barrett adds the conversion and the Hurricanes lead.

21.00: This game is very loose. The Cheetahs are on the attack and Blade Thomson intercepts and gets into the Cheetahs 22 but no support comes and the ball eventually goes out.

22.00: The Cheetahs line out is won by the Hurricanes. They get the ball to the 5m line and win a penalty. The Hurricanes decide to kick for posts.

24.00: Barrett curls the penalty kick in.

27.00: The Cheetahs start to attack in the Hurricanes half and then Philip van der Walt brushes off a weak Hurricanes tackle and races through to score. TRY!

28.00: Johan Goosen adds the conversion. Cheetahs lead.

30.00: It looks like nothing is on really as the Hurricanes go through the motions in the Cheetahs 22 but then after some quick passing Chris Smylie slips through and scores. TRY!

31.00: Barrett misses the conversion.

32.00: Willie le Roux has a run and slips an inside ball to Sadie and the Cheetahs are suddenly 5m out. However as they continue to attack they concede a penalty. Barrett clears the ball.

34.00: Savea tries a chip and chase and almost gets the ball but he knocks on with space in front of him. Hurricanes have missed 9 tackles so far while the Cheetahs have missed 3.

35.00: We have the first scrum of the match.

36.00: Sarel Pretorius has a little run but is caught.

38.00: The Hurricanes go on the attack and then Conrad Smith slips a pass to James Marshall who runs in the bonus point TRY in the corner.

39.00: Barrett slots the conversion from the touchline.

40.00: The siren sounds for half time but the Cheetahs play on.

41.00: Penalty t
