The Chiefs are one of three unbeaten teams left in Super Rugby and they hope to maintain that status when they host the Stormers from Cape Town.

Match detail

We are waiting for the kick off.

Demetri Catrakilis kicks off and we are underway.

.00: The first penalty of the match goes to the Stormers and they will kick for posts. The penalty was for interfering with a player in the air at the line out.

.00: Catrakilis takes the shot and nails it. The Stormers are on the board.

.00: The Chiefs look like they have brought their attacking game with them.  Liam Squire brushes off a tackle and races down the centrefield. He makes half the field but is then caught and then the Stormers concede a penalty.

.00: Aaron Cruden takes the kick and slots it. The Chiefs are on the board.

.00: The Chiefs move the ball down the line for Charlie Ngatai and Gio Aplon almost gets an intercept just outside the Chiefs 22. He knocks the ball forward.

.00: The Chiefs set up a line out in the Stormers 22. The Stormers win the line out and then a penalty for offside. Stormers kick for touch.

.00: The Stormers win the line out still inside their half. The Stormers go through several phases and in one of them Schalk Burger gets rocked backwards in a tackle. The Stormers continue the attack and get into the Chiefs half but then lose the ball forward and the Chiefs counter attack.

.00: On the counter the Chiefs have to chip through but the Stormers get back and kick the ball out. The Stormers then win the line out.

.00: Penalty to the Chiefs in front of the posts. The Stormers have already missed 7 tackles. Cruden will kick for posts. He tries to trick the Stormers by kicking for the corner so that the Chiefs can chase but you can’t do that so the Stormers have a scrum just inside their 22.

.00: The Stormers win the scrum and kick for touch. The Chiefs win the line out and go through two phases and then they kick upfield.

.00:The Stormers attack and lose the ball so the Chiefs counter attack and they split the Stormers and James Lowe races for the corner and scores. TRY! The original turn over came from Schalk Burger losing the ball.

.00: Aaron Cruden takes the conversion and curls it in. The Chiefs lead.

.00: Penalty to the Stormers. Catrakilis takes the shot and nails it.

.00: The Stormers concede a penalty after the restart so the Chiefs take the quick tap and get the ball into the Stormers 22. However they lose the ball forward so the Stormers have a defensive scrum in their 22. Stormers have missed 9 tackles so far. The Chiefs have missed 2.

.00: Stormers possession is at 60%. They win the scrum and boot it downfield. The Chiefs however take the quick line out and run the ball.

.00:The Chiefs are running hard at the Stormers. They make ground and work the ball into the Stormers 22. Liam Messam is just caught 5m out by Jean de Villiers. The Chiefs keep the ball alive and get to the 5m line.

.00: The Chiefs continue to bash at the line and then they win a penalty on the 5m line. They will kick for the corner.

.00: Robbie Fruean is on for Charlie Ngatai. The Chiefs win the line out but do a double movement as they go over the tryline so the Stormers have a penalty. They kick for touch.

.00; The Stormers win their line out and kick the ball upfield. The Chiefs try to run the ball but the Stormers defence stops them so they kick upfield.

.00: The game turns into a bit of a kicking contest which ends when Cruden kicks the ball into touch on the full.

.00: The Stormers attack down the wing as Aplon chips and chases but as he regathers the ball he knocks on.

.00: The Stormers win a penalty from the scrum as the Chiefs “stand up under pressure”. Catrakilis takes the penalty kick but misses.
