Hurricanes make two changes for Stormers

The Hurricanes have made two changes to the team that lost to the Sharks for this weekend’s Super Rugby match against the Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday.

Former All Black prop John Schwalger comes into the starting line up for Jeffery Toomaga-Allen at tighthead prop and Mark Reddish replaces Mark Abbott in the second row.

Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett has made the changes to bolster the scrum which struggled against the Sharks in their season opener.

Hammett has kept his back-line in tact from last week but made two changes to the replacements bench as flanker Ardie Savea replaces Adam Hill and lock James Broadhurst replaces Reddish.

The match against the Stormers this weekend will be a special occasion for prop Ben Franks as he will be making his 100th Super Rugby appearance in the match.

Franks played 83 times for the Crusaders between 2006 and 2012 and since he joined the Hurricanes last season he has made 16 appearances.

The prop has played 31 times for the All Blacks and is in his ninth season of Super Rugby.
