Lions lose Minnie with fractured cheekbone injury

The Lions have revealed that they have picked up just one serious injury from their 34-10 Super Rugby victory over the Stormers at Ellis Park on Saturday.

Lions vice-captain Derick Minnie fractured his cheekbone in a collision with Schalk Burger, however the Lions medical staff are positive he will make a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, loose forward Willie Britz has recovered from his hip flexor injury and will be considered for selection ahead of this weekend’s clash with the Bulls.
