Waratahs beat the Western Force in Sydney

The Waratahs met the Western Force twice in 2013 and in both Super Rugby matches the New South Wales side came out as winners over the Western Australian side.

We are waiting for the kick off.

The Waratahs kick off and we are underway.

1.00: The Waratahs get the perfect start as they spread the ball wide and Israel Folau flies down the wing and goes in to score. TRY!

2.00: Bernard Foley takes the conversion kick but misses.

4.00: Penalty to the Western Force for holding on just inside the Waratahs half. They will kick for posts.

5.00: Zack Holmes takes the kick but misses.

7.00: The Force are playing the game just inside the Waratahs half. They go through the phases and the reward is a penalty. This time they kick for the corner.

9.00: The Force win the line out by going long. They start to look threatening and then the Waratahs join the ruck illegally so the Waratahs have another penalty on the 5m line. This one they will kick.

10.00: Zack Holmes takes the penalty kick and this one he nails. The Force are on the board.

11.00: Kyle Godwin manages to slip through the Waratahs defence after the restart but the Tah defence scrambles and he is stopped.

12.00: The Waratahs kick for touch for a free kick and they set up a line out. They win the line out and then they win a penalty after the line out. They kick for the corner and another lineout about 8m out.

14.00: The Waratahs win the line out and spread the ball out to Folau but he loses it forward.

15.00: Penalty to the Waratahs for slowing the ball down/not releasing. They will kick for posts.

16.00: Foley takes the penalty shot and nails it.

20.00: The Waratahs are trying to move the ball around but their passing is still a little rusty with it being the first match. The handling is letting them down a little.

21.00: Alofa Alofa gets the ball on the wing, chips ahead and chases but the ball just clips the line before he gathers it and scores. No try.

22.00: The Waratahs continue to bang away at the Western Force’s defence and they open up a hole and Folau slips through and scores his second TRY!

23.00: Foley adds the conversion.

24.00: The Force work the ball into the Waratahs 22. They go through 9 phases and on the 10th phase they win a penalty. They will kick for posts.

26.00: Holmes slots the penalty.

28.00: The Waratahs work the ball into the Force’s 22. They go through four phases and then the Force turn it over and lose it forward. The Tahs play on and attack.

29.00: The Force pick and go as Nathan Charles breaks down the centrefield. He is caught and the Waratahs knock on. Force scrum just outside the Tahs 22.

31.00: Free kick to the Waratahs for not binding. They kick for touch but don’t find it. The Force return the ball and Folau goes for it but knocks on.

34.00: Penalty to the Force. They kick for touch and set up a line out 5m out. They win the line out but it goes to ground and is slow.

35.00: The Force send wave after wave at the tryline and then Nick Cummins powers and wriggles over to score. TRY!

36.00: Holmes takes the conversion and slices it.

37.00: The Waratahs get the ball into the Force’s 22 but the Force push it out.

38.00: The Waratahs win the line out but the Force concede a penalty. They decide to kick for the corner. Foley kicks it out on the full so the Force have to restart.

39.00: Penalty to the Waratahs for offside. This time they will kick for posts.

40.00: The siren sounds as Foley lines up. He hits the post and bounces out. Alofa Alofa chases, gets the ball and scores. TRY!

42.00:Foley takes the conversion and nails it.
