Wales lose Davies for Six Nations Championship

British and Irish Lions and Wales centre Jonathan Davies looks set to miss the whole of Wales’ Six Nations championship campaign due to injury.
The centre has not played rugby since he suffered a pectoral injury in Wales’ Test loss to South Africa last year in November.
The twenty-five-year-old Scarlets captain will leave the region at the end of the season and join Clermont in the Top 14.
Scarlets say that Davies is progressing well with his injury and has been taking part in light training with the team.
Davies is however only expected to return to the field in March and Wales play their last two Six Nations matches on the 9th and 15th of March.
The Scarlets have issued a statement saying they Davies will be “fit for return early March” which rules him out of Wales Six Nations matches against Italy, Ireland and France.
Davies played in all three Tests for the British and Irish Lions in 2013 and was controversially picked ahead of Brian O’Driscoll for the third Test.
