France centre Maxime Mermoz has signed a contract extension with Heineken Cup champions Toulon that will keep him at the club until 2017.
The 27-year-old — capped 25 times since making his test debut against Australia in 2008 — has been at Toulon since signing from Perpignan last year.
Mermoz, who was part of the France side that lost 8-7 to New Zealand in the 2011 World Cup final, enjoyed immediate success with Toulon when they beat fellow French side Clermont in the European Cup final earlier this year.
