Habana injured in his first Heineken Cup match

Springbok winger Bryan Habana is expected to miss the next three weeks after he injured his thigh muscle playing in his first Heineken Cup match on Saturday.

Habana has recently joined Heineken Cup champions Toulon in France and they beat Exeter Chiefs 9-14 on Saturday.

“Thigh strain for Bryan Habana. This normally takes around three weeks recovery. Wishing him a speedy recovery,” Toulon said on Twitter.

Habana was replaced in the 37th minute after pulling up with the injury.

The 30-year-old will miss the Heineken Cup return match with Exeter Chiefs next Saturday as well as the Top 14 meetings with Montpellier and Racing-Metro.
