Toulouse give France quartet the week off

Four-time Heineken Cup champions Toulouse have given their France quartet Thierry Dusautoir, Yoann Maestri, Yoann Huget and Jean-Marc Doussain a week off.

All four played in France’s 19-10 defeat to South Africa on Saturday and have now been ordered to rest, meaning they will miss the Top 14 trip to mid-table Grenoble this coming Saturday.

Dusautoir and Maestri started all three of France’s November internationals while Huget was first choice against New Zealand and the Springboks, the same two games for which Doussain was a substitute.

On Saturday, Toulouse struggled without their France contingent, only beating newly-promoted Oyannax 14-3 at home which leaves them third in the table.

The four players will make their return for next weekend’s visit of Irish club Connacht in the European Cup.
