Gloucester Rugby have issued an update on Ryan Mills and James Simpson-Daniel, who both suffered injuries in the LV= Cup fixture against Newcastle Falcons on Saturday saying that both need surgery.
Both players were stretchered off in the first half of the game, and are now set to undergo surgery in London on Monday evening, Mills on his foot and Simpson-Daniel on his ankle.
A further update on both players will only be issued by the Gloucester Rugby Medical Department once the operations have taken place, and the exact nature of the respective injuries can be fully assessed.
