Top 14 highflyers Montpellier have been boosted by the arrivals of former All
Black Rene Ranger and South African centre Robert Ebersohn.
Ranger, 27, capped six times by the All Blacks but who called time on his international
career to play for Montpellier, signed a two-year deal with the southern French
side.
Ebersohn, 24, arrived earlier on Monday while lock Sitaleki Timani, 27, is
set to join them after Australia’s final tour match against Wales on November
30.
“The team is gelling, but from experience the good players easily integrate,”
said coach Fabien Galthie.
Ranger and Ebersohn could make their debuts for Montpellier, who are second
in the table because of a poorer points difference than leaders Toulon, against
defending champions Castres on November 23.
