Hook signs new three-year Top14 Rugby deal

Former Wales fly-half James Hook has signed a three-year extension that will keep him at French Top 14 side Perpignan until 2017.

Hook, who joined the Catalan side from Ospreys following the 2011 World Cup and who has started this season at full-back, said he and his family were “very happy” in France.

“I like the (style of) rugby played and I’m certain that we can be ambitious given the potential of the squad,” Hook told a news conference.

The 28-year-old has won 70 caps for Wales but has not started a game for his country since June 2012.
