Cheetahs sign Bulls Super Rugby centre Venter

Super Rugby finalists the Cheetahs have signed Bulls centre Francois Venter for the next two Super Rugby seasons according to reports.

The Bulls centre will move from Pretoria to Bloemfontein after this year’s Currie Cup season is completed.

The Cheetahs have signed Venter as a replacement for vice-captain Robert Ebersohn who has agreed to leave the Free State and play for Montpellier in France.

Venter went to school at Grey College before he moved to Pretoria to play for the Bulls so he is familiar with the Free State.

The Cheetahs have also signed Piet Lindeque from the Sharks but he will be available for the Free State Cheetahs when the Currie Cup kicks-off on the 9th of August.
