Macleod-Henderson to coach Sharks in Currie Cup

Former Sharks scrum-half Brad Macleod-Henderson will coach the Sharks in the 2013 Currie Cup season.

The Sharks have yet to make an official announcement but new Sharks CEO and Hilton College have confirmed it.

“Congrats to the 2 year former 1st XV coach and old boy Brad Macleod-Henderson (BMH) on his appointment as Sharks head coach for Currie Cup!”, Tweeted Hilton College.

Smit posted a picture of him and Hilton College headmaster PB Ducasse and said, “Passed by Hilton College today to thank them for Brad, hopefully the start of good engagement with our Schools in KZN”.

Thirty-seven-year old Macleod-Henderson was the Director of Rugby at Hilton
College and was also the assistant coach of the Sharks Under-21 team.

Macleod-Henderson succeeds John Plumtree’s coaching assistants Hugh Reece-Edwards and Grant Bashford who led the Sharks through the final Super Rugby matches after Plumtree was let go last month.

Since Smit took over less than two months ago Plumtree, Reece-Edwards and Bashford have all left the Union.
