British and Irish Lions centre Jamie Roberts looks set to miss the second Test match against the Wallabies due to the hamstring injury he sustained playing against the New South Wales Waratahs on June the 15th.
Lions coach Warren Gatland said after his side’s 35-0 win Tuesday over Super Rugby’s Melbourne Rebels that Wales centre Roberts and prop Alex Corbisiero, who has a calf injury, are not fit.
Gatland says “they’re struggling a little bit … both of them should be fine for the third test.”
Ireland lock Paul O’Connell is also on the sidelines with a broken arm.
The Lions, who beat the Wallabies 23-21 in the first test, can clinch their first series victory since 1997 with a win Saturday in Melbourne.
The third and final test is July 6 in Sydney.
