Arscott to leave London Welsh for Sale Sharks

Sale Sharks have announced that London Welsh back Tom Arscott will join the Aviva Premiership rugby club at the end of the current season.

Tom previously played for Worcester,Bristol and Plymouth Albion and has also represented England at U19 and Saxons level.

Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said, “Tom is an exciting player who can play both Full Back and Wing. He has been a regular for London Welsh this season having played 23 times and scored 4 tries. “

“He played in both the games against us this season and I was very impressed with him and am sure he will be a great asset to us.”

Arscott joined the Exiles in 2012 from Worcester Warriors and has been a regular
presence in the London Welsh side this season, making 23 appearances and scoring
four tries so far.

He also claimed the club’s first-ever Aviva Premiership try when he crossed
against Leicester Tigers at the Kassam Stadium on the opening weekend of the
season.

“Tom leaves London Welsh with the blessing of the club – he’s
been a good addition to our squad this season,” said London Welsh head
coach Lyn Jones.

“I hope he finds happiness at his new club and we wish him every success
in the future.”
