Highlanders call up Rutledge & Brew as injury cover

The Highlanders have called former Highlanders hooker Jason Rutledge and centre Neil Brew as injury cover for the next four to six weeks.

Rutledge was in Wellington last week with the Hurricanes as injury cover but has joined the Highlanders after Andrew Hore suffered a rib injury and his replacement Brayden Mitchell finished the match against the Hurricanes with a broken collarbone.

The Highlanders still have Otago ITM Cup hooker Liam Coltman in their squad and available for selection.

Former Highlanders centre Neil Brew who plays in the Japanese Top League has also been called into the Highlanders.

Brew has not played for the Highlanders since the Super 14 and has experience of playing in England for Bristol Rugby.
