Celtic League Rugby Club the Scarlets have released a statement confirming that their Welsh international winger George North has been cleared of any significant or serious damage to his neck.
The Scarlets and Wales winger was taken to hospital after the incident where as a precaution his neck was both x-rayed and scanned and the scans have come out clear.
George North travelled home with the rest of his Scarlets team-mates this morning on a flight from Belfast.
He will be assessed further by the Scarlets medical team on Monday and the medical team say it is too early to assess the full extent of the injury or indeed the recovery period at this stage.
The Scarlets added their gratitude to the rugby world for the concern raised by supporters and colleagues following North’s injury.
