Exeter Chiefs won their first Heineken Cup match when they beat Scarlets 16-22 at Parc y Scarlets in Pool 5 on Saturday afternoon.
The Scarlets afternoon was made worse by injuries to Fly-half Rhys Priestland, flanker Aaron Shingler and prop Samson Lee.
Priestland was carried off on a stretcher, Lee left clutching his shoulder and Shingler left the field with a groin problem.
Scarlets coach Simon Easterby told the BBC, “Rhys has got an Achilles injury. “
“We won’t know the extent of that until he has a scan. But it didn’t look good.”
“Aaron Shingler suffered a groin injury and he’s been carrying that for a couple of weeks.
“Hopefully he will come through but that didn’t look great either.”
More to follow.
