Ireland and Uslter back rower Stephen Ferris has undergone surgery after he damaged his ankle playing for Ulster in the Pro 12 Celtic League.
Ferris had surgery on Thursday to repair a tendon injury which occurred as a consequence of the ankle damage he sustained in the RaboDirect PRO12 game against Edinburgh on 2nd November.
Ulster’s medical team will review Ferris over the coming weeks to establish an accurate time period for recovery and to assess when he will fit to return to play.
