Australia beat Argentina on the Gold Coast

The Wallabies have beaten Argentina on the last four consecutive matches but they have not played each other in nine years.

27.00: Quade Cooper is penalised for off-side inside his own 22. The visitors will line up a kick at goal.

32.00: The Wallabies feed a scrum on half way. They gain momentum as they run the ball wide. Adam Ashley-Cooper looks to off load to Digby Ioane but he is scragged by an Argentinian defender and loses the ball.


35.00: The Wallabies work through phases inside opposition territory. They work their way up inside the 22 and Nathan Sharpe breaks for the home side to get over the try line. The TMO rules that the try has not been scored as Sharpe is held up.

48.00: Los Pumas are penalised at the breakdown and Barnes will line up a 15m kick at goal.


49.00: Barnes slots the kick, levelling the scores.


50.00: Tomas Leonardi dots down for Argentina after charging down a kick by Quade Cooper deep inside the home side’s 22.
