Aviva Premiership Rugby hopefuls London Welsh have had their appeal date postponed to accommodate all parties involved.
Newcastle Falcons finished last in the Premiership and looked set to be relegated to the RFU Championship.
London Welsh won the RFU Championship which earns them the right to be promoted into the Premiership so the two teams could change places.
However a report came back from the RFU which ruled that London Welsh had failed to meet the Minimum Standards Criteria, set out by the Professional Game Board making them ineligible for promotion.
London Welsh appealed the ruling and that appeal will now be heard on June the 28th instead of June the 21st as originally expected.
