Match detail

We are waiting for the kick off.

The Reds kick off and we are underway.

2.00: Reds doing all the attacking early on on the match. They go through 16 phases and then kick the ball up.

3.00: The Brumbies kick the ball behind the Reds defence and Mogg burns Sam Lane down the wing (serious pace) but the ball rolls too deep.

6.00:  Both teams still testing each other out. A couple of high ball and chipo kicks.

11.00: The Brumbies concede a penalty so Sam Lane takes the kick but misses. Still no score.

15.00: Reds showing signs of their old battering ram defence. Pat McCabe gets driven backwards by Ben Tapuai. Physical stuff.

17.00: Reds going through the phases slowly but then they run into each other.

19.00: The Reds are playing with their fourth number 10 in as many matches and it is showing as Sam Lane is getting isolated. You can see its a new partnership.

20.00: Brumbies starting to get some territory but then they concede a penalty. Reds clear the ball.

23:00 The Reds are awarded another kickable penalty so Lane takes the kick but misses again.

25.00: Scott Higginbotham breaks down the wing for the Reds and goes to score in the corner. His elbow looks like he may have been in touch but the try is awarded by the TMO.

25.00: Lane takes the conversion and nails it from the touchline.

28.00: Wow, the Reds have found their old game. Morahan gets the ball in the middle of the field, Lane gets the ball to Davies and he passes to Higginbotham scores again. TRY.

29.00: Sam Lane adds the conversion.

34.00: The Brumbies get a break and Henry Speight is almost away for a try but the pass is forward.

36.00: Brumbies going through the phases on the half way line but the Reds poach the ball and kick it away. The Brumbies are just lacking a slight edge that would make all the difference.

38.00: Reds on attack again in the Brumbies 25. Davies is stopped but they recycle and then the ruck is formed and the Brumbies give away a penalty. Reds set up a 5m line out.

39.00: Reds win the line out and rumble it to the line. They are however held up.

40.00: The Reds win a 5m scrum but the Brumbies defence drives them back when they run the ball. Thats it. Half time.

The half time score was Reds 14 Brumbies 0

The second half is underway.

Radike Samo is on for the second half.

43.00: The Reds almost get the perfect start as James Hanson goes over for a try. He is however called back as the pass was forward.

45.00:Water boy for the day Quade Cooper is coaching Sam Lane and giving him tips as some players need rehydration.

46.00: Brumbies don’t seem to have brought a game plan this week.

49.00: Frustration erupts and a big fight breaks out. Ben Daley and Dan Palmer start the scuffle and the end result is that the Reds have a penalty. Sam Lane takes the kick and nails it.

53.00: Penalty to the Brumbies. Christian Lealiifano takes the shot but misses. Still no points for the Brumbies.
