Lions suffer double blow ahead of Sharks clash

The Lions suffered a blow ahead of their Super Rugby clash against the Sharks in Durban on Saturday with the loss of flyhalf Elton Jantjies and prop Patric Cilliers.

Flyhalf Jantjies was a late withdrawal due to a foot injury as was Cilliers with a stomach bug.

Other players already on the injury list include: JC Janse van Rensburg (toe), CJ van der Linde (groin), Wikus van Heerden (concussion), Bandise Maku (shoulder), Dylan des Fountain (knee), Michael Rhodes (knee) and Lionel Mapoe (hamstring).

Caylib Oosthuizen and Alwyn Hollenbach have been moved into the starting line up with Ruan Dreyer and Andries Coetzee being called up to the bench.

With Hollenbach being moved into the starting XV, Butch James could start the game at flyhalf in the absence of Jantjies.
