5.00: From the restart Chris Eaton knocks on so the Lions have a gift scrum 5m out.
8.00: The Lions win the scrum and drive over but Corey Jane holds the Lions up so we go back for another 5m scrum. Lions win the scrum and swing the ball out to the backs who might have scored in the corner. We go upstairs. The try is awarded to Jaco Taute. Replay shows he was short but the decision has been made by Shaun Veldsman who only looked at one view and made the call.
9.00: Elton Jantjies takes the conversion and he is short and the ball goes under the crossbar.
11.00: The Hurricanes show some good continuity but the Lions turn the ball over and kick it out.
12.00: The Hurricanes are putting the Lions line under some real pressure. This time they just get pushed out in the corner and are called back for a penalty.
14.00: Barrett takes the kick and slots it. The Hurricanes lead.
15.00: James Kamana has come on for Deon Van Rensburg. Penalty to the Hurricanes by Kamana for holding on.
16.00: Hurricanes kick for touch, win the line out but knock on. Lions scrum.
18.00: Penalty to the Lions inside their half. Taute will take the shot. He nails it from 55m out. Lions lead.
19.00:Lions try to run the ball out of their 25 after the restart.
21.00: Penalty to the Lions again for illegal scrumming. Jantjies kicks for touch as Kamana goes off and Van Rensburg comes back on.
24.00: Lions get a maul going but it stops and pivots. Very slow ball and then the Hurricanes get to the ball and boot downfield. The Lions get the ball back and Taute has a great run but the Canes push the Lions out.
28.00: Hurricanes still trying to play the game at pace. The Lions defending well though. The Lions concede a penalty.
29.00: Barrett takes the kick and nails it.
30.00: Lions win a penalty just inside their half.
33.00: It takes a while but Jaco Taute takes the kick. He hits the post. CJ Van der Linde is off so we may go to uncontested scrums.
34.00: Uncontested scrums it is. The first one is won by the Hurricanes. They move the ball at pace and the Lions have to defend again. Taylor gets the ball and dives into the corner and scores! TRY!! Brilliant body control to get the ball down whilst being tackled.
36.00: Barrett takes the kick, stabs it and misses.
38.00: The Lions hit back and run the ball into the Canes 25. They recycle the ball slowly and the Canes push them back. The Lions then recycle
