Ireland call up Wallace as cover for Sexton

Ireland have called up Ulster player Paddy Wallace into the Ireland squad as cover for Jonathan Sexton ahead of their clash with France on Saturday.

Sexton felt a tweak in his thigh muscle following this afternoons kicking session and after he was examined by the team medical staff, it was decided to bring cover into the squad.

Wallace was due to play for Ulster this evening in the RaboDirect Pro12 against the Newport Gwent Dragons.

Sexton has not been ruled out of the game against France and the medical team will monitor him over the next 24 hours before making any decisions on the match 22.
