Scarlets maintain London Irish streak in LV Cup

Scarlets maintained their unbeaten streak over London Irish and firmed in their place at the top of Pool three when they beat London Irish 27-19 at Parc y Scarlets.

The Scarlets have now won all 22 fixtures against London Irish throughout
their history of encounters with the English club – dating back their first-ever
game in December 1908.

London Irish were never quite out of the match but the final result was settled
by Vili Iongi when he scored his second try in the last minute.

Ealier in the match Deacon Manu scored the Scarlets second try and full-back
Dan Newton converted all three tries and added a penalty.

Topsy Ojo’s second half try and Tom Homer’s four penalties meant that London
Irish were always in contention even though they were trailing.
