The Lions have named their team to face the Stormers in their first Super Rugby warm-up game for the 2012 season.
Lions coach John Mitchell wants his team to maintain the momentum they achieved when winning the Currie Cup in October last year and has named a strong team for the Newlands clash.
Mitchell’s team appears to be a full strength line-up with Griquas lock Hendrik Roodt the only player making his debut in the starting XV.
The Lions have a number of new names in their team but these new recruits make up the bench.
