Gloucester lose Morgan for the rugby season

Gloucester full-back Olly Morgan will miss the rest of the rugby season after he injured his knee ligaments playing on the weekend.

Twenty-six-year-old Morgan suffered the injury playing in his team’s Aviva Premiership’s loss to Worcester Warriors on Saturday.

“It’s a severe injury so he’s going to be out for six months,” head coach Bryan Redpath told BBC Gloucestershire.

“You can’t predict or prepare for injuries like that and if we have to look around for someone to bring in then we will do.”

Morgan has been a regular in the Gloucester team this season and has played played 15 games already.

The fullback signed a new three-year deal to stay with the club in November last year.
