Glasgow Warriors ended their recent run of dismal results with a home 24-19 victory that extended the Dragons’ own poor away form.
After a convincing start for the visitors, including a try for Martyn Thomas, the Dragons struggled to call an end to their run of losses away from home with a torrent of infringement that allowed Duncan Weir to kick Warrior’s way to victory.
Dragons gave away eight kickable penalties compared to just four from the Warriors as both teams applied the pressure to break the apparent deadlock that had opened up.
Despite the score line, it was Dragons who impressed, especially at the line out and their attack bounced back after every point for the Glasgow outfit. However, they buckled under Warrior’s pressure a few too many times and ultimately suffered.
