Glasgow Warriors were hoist by their own petard on Friday night when an error strewn performance allowed Kris Burton to supply 15 points with his boot in their 13-15 victory at Firhill.
The Venetian side clocked up their first win of the season by applying pressure to the hosts, who begin the match buoyed by their success against Leinster. All had looked positive for the Warriors in the first half who took first blood with Duncan Weir converting his own try just 12 minutes in.
Treviso quickly regrouped and despite not being able to breach the Glaswegian defence, patience and study defence ensured that Burton could keep adding to the tally with penalties and, in the last 10 minutes a perfectly executed drop goal.
Weir added insult to injury for Warriors, who are having a season to forget so far, by missing a last minute penalty that would have seen them the final lead.
