15.00: The Lions are enjoying some territory but then the Sharks steal a line out ball and McLeod races away. He is stopped and the Sharks kick it away.
18.00: The Lions win a penalty in front of the posts. Butch James take the kick and nails it. The scores are level.
21.00: More pressure from the Lions sees them win another penalty. James takes the kick and again he nails it. The Lions lead. Before the kick James got away with a sneaky shoulder charge on Terblanche.
25.00: The Lions are playing a better game than the Sharks here. They are holding on to the ball and running at the Sharks in the Sharks half.
26.00: The Lions win another penalty. They will kick for the corner.
27.00: The Lions decision pays off. The Lions win the line out and drive for the line. The maul rolls and Cobus Grobbelaar scores. TRY!!
28.00: James adds the conversion.
30.00: The Sharks fight back and get the ball into the Lions 25. The Lions then transgress and the Sharks have a penalty. Lambie takes the shot and nails it.
36.00: Sharks much more in the game now. They get another penalty. Lambies slots it.
38.00: The Lions get the ball almost from the restart and Pat Cilliers passes to Jaco Taute who races away and then at just the right moment he passes to Jano Vermaak who scores in the corner. Probably the Lions best try all year.
39.00: Butch James nails the conversion.
40.00: The siren sounds. It is half time.

The second half is underway.
41.00: The Lions get a penalty after Jacques Botes had a late shoulder charge on Butch James. They kick for touch.
42.00:Penalty to the Lions. James will kick for posts.
43.00: James adds the penalty and extends the Lions lead.
46.00: Lions full of running again. After 10 phases they win a penalty. James kicks for the corner as Bismarck du Plessis comes on for John Smit.
47.00: The Lions win the line out and drive the Sharks back and Cobus Grobbelaar scores again. The Sharks are being outclassed here in a big way.
48.00: Butch James adds the conversion.
49.00: Ryan Kankowski has a run down the wing. He races away but doubts himself and runs in and is tackled. The Lions turn the ball over and James kicks it out.
53.00: Frederic Michalak comes on for Louis Ludik. The Sharks mount a challenge and after some sustained pressure they find a hole and Lambie takes it and scores – TRY!!
55.00: Lambie takes the conversion and slots it.
