Grobbelaar returns to the Lions starting line up

Lions coach John Mitchell has made one forced change to the starting line up that beat the Highlanders for their match against the Hurricanes in Wellington.

Michael Rhodes’ suspension sees Cobus Grobbelaar being recalled to the starting line up.

Gobbelaar’s inclusion at open side flank means that the Lions will tackle the Hurricanes with two fetchers with Derick Minnie on the other side of the scrum

Rhodes, who has been playing some outstanding rugby of late, will especially be missed in the lineouts where he has provided the Lions with an additional option.

Grobbelaar’s promotion from the bench provides lock David de Villiers with another opportunity in the match-22. He starts on the bench.

Replacements: Edgar Marutlulle, Jacobie Adriaanse, David de Villiers, Warren Whiteley, Rory Kockott, Alwyn Hollenbach, Michael Killian.
