Brive battle past Sale in Amlin Challenge Cup

Brive scored two tries on their way to beating Sale Sharks 18-9 in Pool 2 of the Amlin Challenge Cup on Saturday evening.

The French side led 18-9 at the break but the second half was such a stop start affair that neither side could add to their first half points tally.

The match performance will be disappointing for Sale Sharks although they are still in second place with 10 points and leading the pool is unbeaten Brive.

More to follow.
