Moore gets his first Reds start

Reds coach Eddie Jones has named a largely unchanged side to play the Chiefs in their Super 14 Round Eight match at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday.

Hooker Stephen Moore comes into the starting side for the first time this season, following the hand injury to Sean Hardman and Ole Avei takes Moore’s place on the bench.

Hardman underwent surgery to his fractured hand this week and will be out for up to three weeks.

Scrum-half Nic Berry regains his place in the starting side, with Will Genia coming off the bench after being cleared from injury.

Genia had his first Super 14 start in the number nine jersey for the bottom-placed Reds, against the Western Force in Perth last Friday, but had to leave the field after only 16 minutes because of a hip injury.

Reds: 15 Andrew Walker, 14 Brando Va’aulu, 13 Ben Tune, 12 Lloyd Johansson, 11 Peter Hynes, 10 Quade Cooper, 9 Nic Berry, 8 John Roe (c), 7 David Croft, 6 Mitch Chapman, 5 James Horwill, 4 Ed O’Donoghue, 3 Tama Tuirirangi, 2 Stephen Moore, 1 Herman Hunt
