Gregan signing for Toulon?

George Gregan may be following in the footsteps of Tana Umaga and signing a short-term contract with Toulon, the club in the southeast of France which won promotion to the Top 14 and then suffered relegation.

At present the Red and Blacks are in second position on Pro D2, a long way behind Auch but in line for promotion back up to Top 14.

L’Equipe claims that Gregan will sign a contract on Thursday to play for Toulon from 1 November 2007 to 30 April 2008.

Gregan is not RCT’s only big catch. The daily Sud-Ouest reports that Anton Oliver has signed for two years, Umaga will return as director of sport and Chris Jack has signed.
