Scholtz leaves Cheetahs for Top 14 Rugby

French Top 14 club Agen have signed South African flanker Hendro Scholtz as cover for injured Alejandro Campos.

Thirty-one-year-old International Scholtz has won five caps for South Africa and has been playing for the Cheetahs in the Super 14.

He was part of the Springboks 2003 Rugby world cup squad where he scored one of South Africa’s 12 tries Uruguay after making his debut against New Zealand in 2002.

Scholts has signed with Agen until June 2011 with an option for another season.

The former Cheetah had been named by Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske in his Provinsional Cheetahs Super 15 squad that was to meet at the Free State Institute for Sports Science for conditioning tests and pre-season planning.
