Italy wait nervously on Captain Parisse

Italian captain Sergio Parisse is in doubt for his team’s test against Argentina on November the 13th after he suffered a neck injury playing for Stade Francais.

“His recovery time is estimated at seven to 10 days by the Italy staff,” the Italian rugby federation said in a statement on Sunday.

Parisse is a highly regarded number eight and his injury gives Italy coach Nick Mallett little time to prepare for alternatives.

Italy play Argentina on November the 13th with with tests against Australia and Fiji on the following weekends.
