Samoa’s Tuilagi slapped with 50 day ban

Perpignan’s Samoan international backrow forward Henry Tuilagi has been suspended for 50 days by the French National Rugby League.

Tuilagi will miss Samoa’s three upcoming test matches due to the suspension.

The 34-year-old former Leicester Tigers forward was given the suspension after he tackled La Rochelle scrum-half Damien Neveu dangerously on October the 2nd in their Top 14 clash.

Perpignan suspended Tuilagi pending the disciplinary hearing say that they will be appealing the decision and called it a ‘disproportionate’ punishment.
